Folio I · the notebooks of
An independent author who writes in coffeeshops — dark little stories from worlds a step sideways from our own, one notebook and two coffees at a time.
“most of this gets written at a corner table,
two coffees deep, cat hair on the notes.”

Folio II · concerning the author
Oslo Crane writes slow, strange stories set in eerie alternate timelines — worlds tilted a degree or two from our own, and all the more unsettling for it. He works in layers: a lot of drafts, a lot of crossing-out, and more second thoughts than one notebook can hold.
He publishes independently, which mostly means he does every job himself and bribes friends to read the rough chapters. His two cats supervise from the warm side of the laptop, and neither has improved a single sentence.
When a scene won’t come, he walks until it does, or orders another coffee and tries the line a different way. It usually takes a few goes. Most of them end up crossed out — which is fine. The crossing-out is the work.
Folio III · a work in progress
Before the fire, they dimmed the truth.
Before there was a man who took pleasure in burning, there was a man who took pleasure in walking.
232.222 Celsius is the secret origin story hidden inside Fahrenheit 451 — the slow making of a fire captain. As listening boxes bloom on every lamppost and books vanish one polite letter at a time, Civic Inspector Caleb Thorne moves from quiet defiance to the gold-striped coat himself, until the morning a nervous new recruit named Montag arrives to put on a coat of his own.
A story about how freedom is lost not in one fire, but in a thousand small, reasonable concessions.
